Pelvic fracture, clinical examination
- In stable pelvic fractures, there are usually local pain and tenderness on pressure and palpation
- The patient has difficulty walking due to pain
- Fracture of the superior/pubis/anterior ramus is the most common type of fracture.
- Tenderness is provoked when pressing directly on the anterior part of the pelvis. By compressing other parts of the pelvic ring, pain may also occur at the fracture site.

- Low-energy fracture, pain on pressure on the anterior part of the pelvis
- Often falls in elderly with osteoporotic skeleton or with skeletal metastases
- Most commonly fracture of superior pubic/anterior ramus
- Early mobilization
