Iliosacral joint tests

  • There are five relevant iliosacral joint tests that should be performed
    • Iliosacral joint compression and distraction test
    • Knee-to-shoulder test
    • FABER (Patrick) test
    • P4 test
    • Gaenslen Test
  • If at least three of the tests reproduce the patient's pain experience, this points toward iliosacral joint arthritis
    • Possible differential diagnoses are; Hip osteoarthritis, Nerve root involvement L3 or L4, Inflammation in the symphysis
