Neurovascular status, Allen’s test
- The hand is lifted and clenched for 30 seconds
- Press on a. radialis and a. ulnaris
- The hand is kept raised and opened, expecting it to be pale
- The pressure on a. ulnaris is released and normal color is expected within 5-15 seconds
- Pathology if the color does not return
